Expo on New Ruralities

From July 2 to 13, 2025, Brussels will host the exhibition “Expo on New Ruralities,” organized by the New Ruralities Consortium, which includes ETH Zurich among others. This exhibition is part of the international symposium “Shifting Ruralities: Reimagining Rural Spaces in Europe”, taking place on July 3 and 4, 2025.

The event highlights the dynamic and evolving nature of European rural areas in a globalized world.
The exhibition presents award-winning projects from the NERU architecture competition, with designs for locations in Italy, Portugal, and Belgium. These projects offer new perspectives on reimagining rural space and emphasize themes such as migration, economic revitalization, and the co-creation of rural liveability.

Visitors are invited to explore diverse interpretations of rural spaces and join discussions about the future of the European countryside.
