What's the story behind TRACK?
TRACK
2021: Trainmuseum
TRACK (then still named Maison Nord) was selected as main occupant of the former train museum under the program ‘Life in the Station’ of the SNCB
2021: Partner selection
Through an application process the first partners in residence were selected! We landed on 51N4E, Sew For Life, #BXNord (Gaming Corporation), LabNorth, Rebelle, Ten Noey, La Fourna, Urban Foxes and Sint Lukas Academie. For more information on the partners visit the residents page!
June 2022:
Subsidy Breeding Places. TRACK received subsidy for the renovation works of the building from Broedplekken, an initiative that aims to support unique places in Brussels where organizations from different sectors want to collaborate by sharing a newly designed physical space.
September 2022 - January 2024: Renovation works
The former train museum was fully renovated within a circular philosophy
October 2022-January 2023
Together with the resident organisations, we built the framework of the project: over a period of 4 months, we agreed on a value framework, mission, activity program, and role division. This all resulted in the development of our intermediate report. Later a graphic identity and website followed.
May 2023: The space got a name! TRACK
At the same time, some activities of in-between use were already set up, waiting patiently for the renovation works to end.
